ABOUT THE FOUNDER

‍ ‍ Logan Sandate

Founder & CEO, Girls Flag Foundation and Girls American Flag League

Logan Sandate is a sports entrepreneur, athlete-development leader, and passionate advocate for expanding opportunities for girls through flag football.

With more than seven years of experience operating and managing sports performance facilities, Logan has built her career around helping young athletes develop their skills, strengthen their confidence, and pursue opportunities at the next level. Her experience includes sports performance, program development, team operations, athlete recruitment, and the creation of pathways connecting youth participation with high school and collegiate opportunities.

In September 2025, Logan founded Girl Power Carolinas, a girls-focused flag football organization that quickly grew to serve more than 300 athletes across two locations. The program also expanded to include competitive tournament opportunities for more than 30 athletes, demonstrating the strong and growing demand for structured girls flag football programming.

Through her work with athletes, families, coaches, and clubs, Logan recognized a larger challenge: girls flag football was growing rapidly, but the club landscape lacked a consistent national structure, shared standards, and a clear pathway to college recruitment.

That realization led Logan to establish the Girls Flag Foundation, the nonprofit home for this work, and create the Girls American Flag League. GAFL is being built to strengthen girls flag football at the club level by connecting organizations through consistent competition, professional league operations, athlete visibility, and a stronger pathway toward collegiate play.

Logan’s leadership is grounded in direct experience. She understands what it takes to build programs, support coaches, earn the trust of families, and create environments where girls can compete with confidence. Her vision extends beyond launching another league - it is to build the lasting infrastructure needed to serve more athletes, strengthen more clubs, and create more opportunities for girls nationwide.

Her mission is clear: create more access, more visibility, and more opportunity for the next generation of girls flag athletes.

One League. One Standard. One Future.
